Immigrate Parkland
The Parkland Regional Immigration Committee, consisting of seven municipalities and three strategic partners has developed a program under the guidance of the Province of Manitoba called "Immigrate Parkland." The objective of this program is to recruit and select foreign skilled workers for the region in hopes of supporting the immediate and long-term labour market needs of the region.
Starting in late 2023, the goal of this initiative is to select no more than 50 qualified skilled immigrants in the first 12 months, with a manageable increase each year going forward. The committee will be selecting applicants based on their skills related to the labour market needs of the employers in the region. The applicants are welcome to work and live wherever they like between the participating communities.
If an applicant qualifies and receives a community letter of endorsement, it should be understood that the endorsement letter is only that, and the Immigrate Parkland program does not have any authority to approve an applicant. Decisions to invite an applicant to apply and possible nomination are determined completely by the Province of Manitoba.
